How to handle AR coat Filter

Anti-Reflection coating is a multi-layer treatment, and it is very thin layer and quite delicate. So please read carefully the following instruction, and handle AR material appropriately.

Caution for Scratches

Anti-Reflection coating is treated on scratch resistant hard coating layer. However the surface gets scratched by polishing with hard objects. Therefore, in case of cleaning or wiping the material surface, please make sure that there is no dust or any hard particles on cleaning cloth or material surface.

Caution for Dirt and Smudge

Since Anti-Reflection Coating creates lower surface reflection and higher light transmission, it gets easier to find any dirt spot or smudge on its surface. Therefore, please avoid touching AR coated surface with naked finger. Please always handle AR coated material with gloves whether or not the AR coat surface is protected by Anti-Smudge (Anti-Fingerprint) coating. More importantly, please avoid touching AR coat surface with or without gloves when it is not protected by Anti-Smudge coating.

Caution for Chemical

AR coat layer might be dissolved by chemicals. Please don't use alkaline chemicals and cleaning solutions. Highly volatile organic solvent or eyeglass cleaner might be suitable for cleaning up the AR coat surface.

AR coat layer might be dissolved by water (both tap water and sea water). Please avoid using wet cloth for cleaning (wiping up) the AR coat surface.

How to Clean

Please always use the "Clean, Dry, Soft Cloth" and wipe it gently when cleaning the surface.
Wiping-cloth for Eyeglass or Nonwoven fabric for optical equipment is recommended to be used.
